Today was hectic at work. One of the most hectic days I have experienced at this job. My boss was pretty worried about getting stuff done, and was a little concern that I was a little late. After I got to work, he asked me if I was on Central Time. I almost took him seriously, but I guess Carmen bet him couldn't be mean. She was right. He gave us a list of the things we had to accomplish, and it was a lot. The problem was, Carmen and I were hungry and we enjoy eating bagels at Einstein's. So we decided this was an OK decision. To save time, we thought we could walk through the mall to Einstein's instead of on the street. After doing so, we found out that it didn't save any time. So that was cool. Upon arrival at Einstein's we ordered our bagel and then ate it there. There were two CIA people there who were visiting Indianapolis due to the president's arrival. Carmen an I were pretty excited that THEE George W. Bush was so close to us – and some of his CIA agents were eating bagels with us. Wow. So we headed back to work. Maybe I'll vote Republican. Oh wait, I wasn't invited to go see him.
The rest of the day continued with little entertainment. It was just hectic. Two hours after our bagel run we debated going to Jimmy John's, but we decided to work through lunch. This is a first in my book. I just didn't feel like walking all the way to Jimmy John's – two store fronts down.
At one point during the day, I accidentally prank called Carmen's husband. I was scanning stuff, and thus was bored. So I decided to call Carmen in the other room. Instead her husband picked up, and he was obviously not Carmen. This flustered me: I paused, and then hung up. Carmen had to call him back and apologize. The day ended when the scanner broke, and we had to call it quits. This really sucked because I had to go home.
But actually, I was really tired. So my cat and I decided to order pizza and stay in for tonight. It's pretty nice.
I started recruiting people to move to London, Boston, or San Francisco with me. I got a few people to sign up at Motini's. (Although Denver doesn't sound too bad, eh?).
We're going to Mississippi on Wednesday to Sunday. I get to drive my car. It will be a pretty fun road trip, I think. Or as fun as Mississippi can be. (Stopping in Nashville, maybe!)
